Economic Issues Weigh on Minds of Las Vegas Voters

Interesting article here on the status of the economy in Vegas. No mention of how the Vegas economy has effected Blacks in Vegas and I'm sure we were part of the "building" of Vegas and how it is now one of the World's top places to visit.

What's our perspective? Are we part of the boom, even though the housing market has fallen? Or have our unemployment rates increased?

I will investigate this a bit further but would to hear some real life examples of living Black in Vegas. Again, the link is here.

Thanks for the post. Interesting clip. PBS features Robert Gomez of the Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce, and that's a valuable perspective, but the issues facing African Americans are unique. I wish there was more focus on it.
